DESCRIPTION:Wellness Outreach for Women!\nAs Mother’s Day approaches\, Neighbors Together is planning a special day in honor of everything that women do to make life better for those around them. On April 30th please join us for our WOW…Wellness Outreach for Women… event. Women will be offered health and wellness opportunities as well as car maintenance and even purses!  It’s 10:30am to 12:30pm on April 30th at 2105 Cosgrove Avenue\, North Charleston\, SC 29405.  \nHEALTH AND WELLNESS CHECKS \nNeighbors Together is partnering with the Shifa Clinic to offer free wellness checks for women. “We are going to present health and wellness to the ladies in this community\,” said Neighbors Together Community Engagement Coordinator Leola McFadden. “We want women to be healthy.” \nThe health clinic is open to everyone\, not just women. \nFREE CAR CARE CLINIC \nThe event will also offer a free car care clinic where volunteers will check tires\, hoses\, engines and oil levels. Coupons for oil changes are also being offered by area service garages. Participants must schedule a car appointment ahead of time by calling\n (843) 747-1788. \n“If our volunteers find something they believe needs to be checked further\, women will be told about it\,” said Neighbors Together Program Director Suzanne Young. “They know they can trust the information they’re being given.” \nThe WOW event is a special day being set aside to give women the love and attention that they routinely give to so many people around them on a daily basis.\n Volunteer opportunities are available.
